Bank of America Plaza
At 921 feet and 72 stories, Bank of America Plaza has been the tallest building in Dallas since its completion in 1985, and remains the third-tallest building in all of Texas. The tower took three full years to build at a cost of $146 million and is instantly recognizable at night for its signature green LED lighting outlining the building's crown, visible across much of the Dallas metro. It anchors the top of our model as the tallest, most recognizable element of the real downtown skyline.
Reunion Tower
Completed in 1978, Reunion Tower is not Dallas's tallest structure, but it is arguably its most recognizable — the geodesic sphere near its top has made it the city's most photographed landmark since it opened, long before Bank of America Plaza's green crown existed. Its inclusion on the model rounds out the silhouette with the building most people outside Dallas actually picture when they think of the skyline, distinct from the taller office towers that surround it.
Why These Two, Together
Bank of America Plaza represents raw height and 1980s corporate ambition, built during the same boom period that produced Renaissance Tower and Comerica Bank Tower nearby. Reunion Tower represents something different — an observation and entertainment structure built specifically to be a landmark rather than office space, proof that Dallas's skyline identity was never just about who could build the tallest tower.
How the Model Is Built
Each Dallas skyline sculpture is 3D-printed in matte black with brushed gold lettering reading DALLAS on the base, hand-finished, and shipped within three to five business days. Three sizes: a 6-inch Small at $34.99, a 7.5-inch Medium at $54.99, and a 9-inch Large at $74.99. Bank of America Plaza and Reunion Tower are scaled to their real relative heights and positions, preserving the actual silhouette rather than a stylized approximation.
